Cask Ale We appreciate the fact that more and more people are discovering the joys of traditional, hand pulled cask ales. If you haven’t yet caught on to the craze, we highly recommend you give our cask ales a try. These beers are the real thing – full of natural flavours – they might not look as pretty as some keg beers at first glance, but on tasting them you’ll soon realise their true beauty! We are proud supporters of the Campaign For Real Ale, who are doing an excellent job of promoting awareness of this wonderful wet stuff. We now serve up to four traditional beers at any one time, including our resident ale Nailer’s “Oh Be Joyful” (4.2% ABV) (affectionately known as “OBJ”). The Hop Pole Inn is the spiritual home of this fantastic, hoppy beer – and this is the only place in Bromsgrove you’ll find it! Don`t forget that we've been in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for 2006, 2007 and 2008 - can`t be bad, eh? Actually, this is a major tribute to 'Big' Al Smith who is the pedantic one that looks after the Ale! Guest Ales Our commitment to real ale continues.
